Q: Do you have BLS/AED/First Aid classes?
A: Although we can and will create a custom BLS class for a group, we generally refer all single student requests to Safegard Services who can take good care of your BLS training needs. Their contact info is (425) 739-0700.
Q: Are there different BLS cards and how do I choose the right one for me?
A: Yes there are different AHA BLS cards. Healthcare Provider (HCP) is recognized by most hospital and EMS systems employers. HeartSaver comes in a couple different forms that can include CPR, AED and First Aid and is recognized as a lay provider card and is required by some non-institutional employers like nursing homes, assisted living, home healthcare. Check with your employer to verify which if any BLS cards are required for employment.
Q: Do you provide Instructor classes?
A: We do not routinely provide Instructor classes except for internal needs.
Q: I have a question about my card, who do I call?
A: We are happy to assist. If the card came directly from us, we will assist with replacements etc. As an AHA Training Center, we oversee 25 independent Training Sites. If your card came from one of our sites, we can help with contact info for the site. Our phone number is (425) 736-3386.
Q: Are your courses AHA courses?
A: You may notice that some of our classes are only one-day. This is because we use very experienced instructors and keep our class size small. This allows us to teach to your specific needs and cover material more efficiently. We value your time. The courses meet or exceed the minimum standards for the American Heart Association.
